Over 200, 000 visitors came to the main Ice Town in Perm City over the New Year holidays.

The Ice Town under the motto “Wind from the East” was open starting December 30, 2018 untill January 9, 2019. On January 13, 2019 it will become  the venue of the 6th open competition “Russia’s  Ice and Snow Sculpture Cup” called «Winter Vernissage».

The Ice Town “Wind from the East” was opened for the public on December 30, 2019.  Through the  10 days of the New Year holidays it  became the venue for many mass festivals , starting with the night festivities on December 31, which brought together around 35,000  visitors.  On January 3-8 the Ice Town hosted  numerous events including the Father Frost residence and many interactive entertainments fro children.  The evenings of January 5-6 featured the concert programmes of Perm creative groups  and the “Flame Games” theater.  January 7, 2019 was marked by  a wide  Russian Christmas programme topped by a lights show of “Christmas Miracle”  with its 6  shows over the night.  The daily number of visitors to the Ice Town between January 2-7 exceeded  20,000.

In 10 days of its work in January the Ice Town was visited by 206,000 people. 

The Ice Ring at the esplanade was opened through December 25 to January 8, with around 98,700 visitors.The ice ring was very popular on the New Year’s Night - 19,000  people went skating there. The peak days of holidays happened to be on January 3, 5 and 7 – the ring hosted 12,000, 13,000 and 15, 000 visitors respectively. 

Starting January 10, 2019 the Ice Town will be open to public 12:00 to 22:00.
